As a child, Jess was never sure what it was she wanted to do when she grew up. But, when she found herself holding conversations with animals more than she spoke to people, she thought that looking after animals might be a good start! When she was around 15 years of age she started volunteering in pets shops and vet clinics to get some experience. It soon became apparent that vet nursing was a real talent of hers and something that she loved to do.
After being rewarded with a paid position in Wollongong in 2009 she completed her certificate IV in Vet Nursing at Yallah TAFE over the next 18 months. She has gone on to complete further training at conferences and courses over the years and has a large range of experience nursing both domestic animals and wildlife and exotic animals.
Jess' home is shared with her partner and their 2 dogs Diesel and Axel, Chevy the cat and a large array of fish. She loves the outdoors and getting out hiking and camping. In her time off she likes to load up the dirt bikes on the trailor, load the camping gear in the back and head off camping and trailbike riding with her partner.
