Melissa Beardmore

Family Vet

You can call me:

Mel brings with her a wealth of experience.

Melissa (Mel) was born in Fiji and grew up in Sydney, graduating from Sydney Uni Veterinary Science in 1993. She initially worked as a mixed animal vet in Queensland and in the Snowy Mountains, but has been living and working as a small animal vet in Wodonga (and Albury) for nearly the past 20 years.

Mel decided to make the move to the Illawarra with her 3 kids, 2 cats and 1 dog to be closer to family and the ocean!  Its been a big move, but everyone seems to be settling in well, and she will be a whole lot more settled once she gets the workings of the computer system here under her belt!

Mel has interest and experience in behaviour, medicine and soft tissue surgery. However, she really just enjoys meeting you and your pets and helping in any way she can. She is a firm believer in the strength of the 'human-animal bond', and the importance of quality of life for owners and their furry, feathered and scaled family members.

She enjoys spending time with her kids outdoors, walking, bike riding, fishing, or at the beach, loves music and has been known to get into a bit of boxing.
Mel looks forward to meeting you, and caring for your pets.

If you have any local hints, such as the best fishing spots, please pass them on!
