Lachlan Barry is an enthusiastic Trainee Veterinary Nurse at Companion Animal Veterinary Hospital (CAVH), currently pursuing his Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at TAFE. His journey in veterinary care began with six months of volunteering, leading to his official start at CAVH in December 2022.
Lachlan's passion for veterinary care stems from his love for animals and his desire to make a positive impact on their lives. He finds great joy in assisting in their care and recovery, contributing to their well-being.
At home, Lachlan's life is filled with a variety of animal companions. He has two young golden retrievers named Honey and Yogi, a cat named Tabby, a couple of birds, and numerous horses, each with their own unique personality and charm. A memorable experience in Lachlan's life was assisting his cat Chloe during the birth of her kittens, a testament to his caring nature.
Outside of his professional commitments, Lachlan enjoys taking his dogs for long walks on the beach and spending quality time with his cat. He also finds relaxation in playing PlayStation games with his friends.
Lachlan's decision to pursue a career in the animal care industry was influenced by his lifelong proximity to animals, fostering a deep understanding and appreciation for their needs.
A unique aspect of Lachlan's life is his pet macaw named Allin, who adds an exotic flair to his already diverse animal family.
