Vet Nurse

Chelsea grew up locally in Figtree and attended St Josephs High School up until year 11 where she chose to pursue a career in Veterinary Nursing. Initially she had a traineeship at Albion Park Vet whilst also studying Animal Studies Cert III and Veterinary Nursing Cert IV.
Chelsea graduated in 2019, she then moved to work at Our Vet in Shellharbour, alongside two of our current vets, Kate and Kristin.
Growing up Chelsea always had a very passionate love for animals and had plenty of her own. Currently she has two rabbits named Franklin and Posie, 2 horses named Rumor and Bambi, 2 dogs named Addie and Baby Bell, 2 chickens named Pip and Nugget, a fish named Lucky and a cat named Parker.
Parker came to us at the end of 2021 with Animal Welfare League, unfortunately his back legs were splayed and he was unable to walk properly. This however, did not slow down the little 4 week old kitten. Chelsea didn’t want Parker to be alone overnight at the clinic so she decided to take him home for the night, obviously with the intention to bring him back the very next day. This turned into a week and then a month. Parker is now officially adopted by Chelsea and spends his days sleeping and terrorising her other pets.
When it comes to being a vet nurse, Chelsea is most interested in the medical and surgical side of things. She loves a challenge and will be the first person there to help solve any tricky cases alongside the vets. She finds the most rewarding part of the job is being able to see pets return to their owners, healthy and happy.
When Chelsea isn’t at work, you will find her spending time with her own pets or hanging out with her friends.
