Emily Cook brings nearly eight years of dedicated service as a Veterinary Nurse to the Companion Animal Veterinary Hospital team. Her professional journey in veterinary care began with achieving a Certificate 4 in Veterinary Nursing from Bankstown TAFE. Before joining the CAVH family, Emily gained valuable experience working in a pet shop and volunteering at various veterinary clinics and the RSPCA during her school years.

In the field of veterinary medicine, Emily has developed a passion for medical nursing, surgical scrub nursing, emergency and critical care, and neonatal care. Her diverse expertise makes her a crucial asset to the CAVH team, where she applies her skills to a range of challenging and rewarding situations.

What Emily cherishes most about her job is the diversity of pets she encounters and the gratifying feeling of nursing sick pets back to health and happiness. The opportunity to see pets recover and reunite with their families is a source of immense joy and fulfillment for her.

Emily's home is a haven for her pets: Bailey the Cavalier and Twix and Frankie, both rescue cats from CAVH. Their unique personalities and heartwarming stories enrich her life daily.

Outside of her veterinary responsibilities, Emily enjoys gaming, a hobby that showcases her tech-savvy side and love for interactive entertainment. She's also a fan of paddleboarding, an activity that complements her adventurous spirit.

Emily's journey to becoming a part of the CAVH team began with her volunteering as a requirement for her veterinary nursing studies. Her experience at CAVH ignited a profound passion for animal care and led to her securing a position on the team. Additionally, Emily is deeply involved in local rescue fostering and volunteering, highlighting her commitment to animal welfare in the Dapto community.
