Jayda Tisma

Animal Attendant

You can call me:
Jayda

Jayda is our part-time vet in training, she completed work experience with us in 2021 whilst attending year 11 at Cedars Christian College. With her amazing hard work and obvious love for the job, she was offered a part-time weekend job and during the school holidays!

Jayda is graduating high school in 2022 and is hoping to go on to complete Veterinary Science at Sydney University starting in 2023. She has always been surrounded by animals her whole life and to be a vet is her dream career. She hopes to specialise in wildlife and small animals. Jayda loves science and medicine, especially all things veterinary science related.

Jayda currently lives with her family on a small property out the back of Marshall Mount. She has 11 chickens named Hazel, Clover, Marmalade, Anne Shelly, Missy, Vanilla, Latte, Sky, Estelle, Smudge and Pebbles, 5 ducks named, Taffy, Daisy, Chamomile, Salt and Pepper and 1 dog named Indie.

When we asked Jayda what her favourite part about working here is, she said that she loves watching the surgeries and getting involved with everything, plus not to mention the learning! Jayda also loves our Fear Free approach to Veterinary Science and hopefully we will have her back once she finishes Uni. When Jayda isn’t at work, you will find her playing guitar, violin and piano or out learning to surf!
