a Bravecto Chew sitting in it's packet

It's an exciting time in the world of parasite control at the moment. First we had a new novel compound available to treat fleas and ticks for a month. Now we have Bravecto, a chew that will kills fleas for 3 months and ticks for 4 months. Controlling fleas and ticks just keeps getting better!

Bravecto is ideal for fitting in with your three monthly worming dose and can be given with other medications such as worming tablets without any issues.

Three months is a fantastic period of time for the product to work. If you have a heavy flea infestation it can take 3 months to get the fleas under control. This treatment length exceeds the flea's life cycle length. So 1 single dose should get rid of the flea infestation.

TICKS THE AUSTRALIAN PARALYSIS TICK SEASON RUNS FROM AUGUST TO MARCH1 FLEAS A FLEA STARTS FEEDING ON BLOOD WITHIN 21⁄2 HOURS A SINGLE FLEA AUG SEP OCT NOV DEC JAN FEB MAR APR MAY JUN JUL THE PARALYSIS TICK (IXODES HOLOCYCLUS) IS THE SINGLE MOST DANGEROUS PARASITE FOR DOGS WITH JUST AND MAY SUCK BLOOD FOR UP TO TICK CAPABLE OF CAUSING PARALYSIS AND EVEN DEATH1 A SINGLE FEMALE PARALYSIS TICK CAN LAY UP TO 40-50 3,000 EGGS AT A TIME THAT’S UP TO EGGS A DAY IN A LIFETI

Can I use it?

  • you need to be a dog
  • you must be at least 8 weeks of age
  • you need to weigh at least 2 kg
  • If your pregnant or lactating, that's NOT a problem!!!! (finally something that's tested and safe)

Treatment interval

I recommend treating every 3 months year round at the same time as worming.
