Trainee Animal Attendant

Ayla’s ambition to become a veterinary nurse took shape on her very first day of placement at Companion Animal Veterinary Hospital. Unsure which path to take at school, she followed her careers adviser’s suggestion to try the hospital—and discovered how much it meant to her to help pets get home to their families.

That purpose is personal. When one of her own dogs suffered a snake bite, Ayla saw the effort that went into helping him recover and the difference that care made to her family. Now, as a trainee animal attendant, she finds the same sense of meaning in seeing patients head home after a long hospital stay.

Ayla wants pets and their people to feel understood, and for families to know their concerns are heard. She enjoys helping wherever she can and supporting the team as she works towards her goal of becoming a veterinary nurse.
