Ever since Lydia can remember, working with animals was her dream. As she grew up, Lydia spent more time with animals then people and it was clear to everyone where she was headed in life. Just after she turned 16, her dream came true.

A few months ago Lydia and her teachers organised to undertake work experience at Companion Animal Vets in Dapto. The moment she walked in the door, Lydia knew that this place was something special. Her week consisted of washing towels and cleaning litter trays however it was, without question, one of the best weeks of her life. On her final day of work experience, Matt Young and Danny Ben asked her if she would like a traineeship position at CAVH. From then onwards, Lydia still hasn’t stopped smiling.

Lydia grew up on a small property outside of Albion Park where she raised geese, chickens and two dogs. She would spend her days outside with her animals. Lydia now lives with her Mum and her rabbit coconut. When she’s not at work you will find Lydia at the gym or on the beach.
